Dear al umali,
If you want to promote anything in any country, one of the ways to do it is to go to Social Networks and inform people there.
What's that? You've heard of it--in the Philippines --it's called Facebook. And for those in the know --it's also called multiply.com, linkedin.com and plurk.
But when you're promoting to a more international audience, where do you go?
It depends on your audience of course!
For those who attended any of my workshops on Internet Marketing in Manila, you know that one of the best ways to promote in these Social Networks is to identify groups in them that are related to what you're promoting --and
a. Contact the group owner and ask permission to promote.
b. Insert your event in the group's calendar
For example to reach people looking to buy old costumes worn in old tv shows, you go to the fans club group in multiply, facebook or even friendster --of the artista who wore the clothes. Makes sense doesn't it?
What you DON'T do is tag artistas facebook pages with your gluthathione product. That's called spamming and can lead to your account in facebook being banned.
However, I personally do not do promotions online--I hire a Virtual Assistant (VA) to do it for me.
Once you've got the approximate profits that you can get from a promotion -if it's going to exceed approx $ 100-500 a month --then it's wise to use a Virtual Assistant who can make your product or service instantly known throughout your intended market. What's a VA? A person who's in another province who does your online promotion for you. Yes, I train people to become VAs also.
But if you're just beginning, sign up for an account in all of the social networks and start tinkering around. This part is important, the tinkering around. Lots of things to discover in Facebook alone.
Till next time, now start promoting that website.
